Sounds of Hawkes Bay Chorus are a committed group of women of all ages meeting weekly to sing a cappella (without musical accompaniment) in 4 part Barbershop style.
We are a small and friendly chorus, and we welcome new members.
We are part of the world-wide organisation of Sweet Adelines, women singers who simply enjoy singing, learning and socialising. We sing a combination of popular songs , show tunes, songs by well known artists, in the style of rhythm n blues, jazz, rock n roll, beautiful ballads and much much more. We love to perform at public and private events, and we also compete at National Competitions.
Our rehearsal venue is the Clive School Hall.

May 2023. Some members of the Sounds of Hawkes Bay chorus took part in the Star Chorus (directed by Kate Sinclair) at the 2023 Sweet Adelines Convention in Auckland ‘Voices at Victory’. Star Chorus gives the opportunity to those choruses who are not competing, to perform on stage.
